Big Water of Fleet Viaduct - Loch Grannoch - Craigronald - Meikle Mulltaggart - Cairnsmore of Fleet - Knee of Cairnsmore - Big Water of Fleet Viaduct A satisfying, twelve-mile trek which tackles four mountain summits, including the 2,331ft Cairnsmore of Fleet. Instead of taking the more usual 'tourist route' up via Cairnsmore Farm, this walk starts from the parking area at Big Water of Fleet.. Walking from Clatteringshaws Loch, to the viaduct and back should be about 16 miles. Driving/walking from Gatehouse should be about 7 miles. Parking at the Viaduct: FREE. Hiking to the Big Water of Fleet Viaduct from Clatteringshaws Loch in Dumfries & Galloway in the Cairnsmore of Fleet National Nature Reserve.
